Severin Films releasing EMANUELLE AND THE LAST CANNIBALS, VIOLENCE IN A WOMEN’S PRISON in May

Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals, Joe D’Amato’s erotica/cannibal horror crossover and the fifth part of Emanuelle’s ongoing adventures, will find its home on Blu-ray May 8 thanks to Severin Films. The new release will feature a new 2k transfer from original vault elements as well as a number of special features, including:

  • The World of Nico Fidenco – An interview with composer Nico Fidenco.
  • A Nun Among the Cannibals – An interview with actress Annamaria Clementi.
  • Dr. O’Brien MD – An interview with actor Donald O’Brien.
  • From Switzerland to Mato Grosso – An Interview with actress Monika Zanchi.
  • I Am Your Black Queen – Laura Gemser archive audio interview.

Also available is Bruno Mattei’s grungy cult classic Violence in a Women’s Prison, which is basically a film whose plot is revealed in the title. Also starring Laura Gemser, the Blu-ray will also feature a new 2k transfer from the uncensored inter-positive, as well as the following extras:

 

  • Brawl in Women’s Block – Interview with co-director/co-writers Claudio Fragasso and Rossella Drudi.
  • Archive interview with director Bruno Mattei.
  • Radio Spot.
