In 2054, an enormous alien invasion plunged humanity into a destructive war. The UN reorganized world military powers to defend Earth, creating the anti-alien special forces “FUNERAL”. Five years later, a student named Takuto receives a mysterious email from his lover Maki. Tracing the source leads him to the research facility “MORGUE,” where experiments to resurrect a metal life form named “Frank” by grafting alien parts have been ongoing.

Frank suddenly awakens and begins to rage, he turns MORGUE into rubble and flees, gravely injuring Takuto. After escaping MORGUE, Frank meets a young girl, Hattie, alone in the forest. These two, drawn to one another by a mysterious bond that connects their hearts, soon find themselves detained by FUNERAL. Enlisting in FUNERAL under the new name “Ryu Soma”, Takuto plots to destroy Frank whenever he has a chance. But as the operation continues, the beginnings of a friendship with the mysterious creature begin to emerge.
