We wanted to do a Gene Wilder film because of his recent passing, and after a lot of debate, we finally settled on Young Frankenstein. It’s a perfect fit for the podcast and this site because of its fantastic representation of classic Universal Monster films, and in the episode we dive into the reasons why this feels so accurate. We also talk about some of Wilder’s other films, his ability to switch from straight man to insanity in no time flat, and the great knockers on Meredith Kahn.
